Dreading the next meeting you'll lead? Tired of dull topics and time-wasting marathon sessions? Time to pick up "How to Make Meetings not Suck" and find tips to run an inspiring and efficient meeting.
Authors Jonathan Vehar and Cathi Brese Doebler are both facilitators at the world-renowned Center for Creative Leadership, where they work with senior executives to help them be more effective in their leadership. In their own businesses they’ve worked with teams and executives at companies like Subaru, T. Rowe Price, NASA, National Grid, and the US Joint Special Forces University. Now they've not only written an invaluable guide to run effective meetings, but they took it up a notch by writing a series of clever cartoons that appear throughout the book to help drive home their message with a smile.
Better yet, they enlisted me to illustrate those cartoons and I'm honored to have brought their ideas to life!
Hey here's a new book I illustrated. Kept me off the streets for a while. Really enjoyed a shift in gears that made for a fantastic experience. Lots of gratitude to author Pam Riley for the opportunity to work on her warm and witty book!
From initial sketches to the finished versions, creating the illustrations for "Middle School Pandemonium" was a riot of a good time! Written by Pamela Riley, a former elementary and middle school teacher, she brings us the story of 11 year-old Casey Murphy, who tells us how he navigates Covid, Middle School, friendships, and parents -as well as baseball, birthdays, even boating misadventures. As Casey will tell you, it was "The Worst Year Ever", but after reading his story, I’d say not only did he survive, he had a pretty good time!
Pam brings Casey's story to life with an exuberant spirit and warm humor, plus she adds an additional section after the story full of thoughtful discussion questions to keep the conversation going long after the story is over.
In short, this is a fantastic story and I'm thrilled to have done the book illustration! (And to clarify- I'm not compensated for telling you how great the book is!) Find more information here.
